Services
The Town operates a small shelter for limited stay with dogs/pets at the Highway Barn, 3408 Block Road, Delevan, NY.

We work with County Health Department on any dog bite/risk scenarios.

The Dog Officer does an enumeration as required by the Town.  Any dog found to be harbored without a license during the enumeration will be charged an additional fee of $25 in addition to the required licensing fee.

Any dog owner who does not comply with the law regarding the licensing of their dog, can be issued an appearance ticket for the Town of Yorkshire Court.

Dog Licenses

Every dog in the Town that is over four months old must be licensed.  Proof of rabies vaccination is required.  The fee for an un-spayed or un-neutered dog is $18.  If the dog is spayed or neutered and proof is provided, the fee is $9.

You can print out a Dog License form here, the Town Clerk will need to complete some of the information required when you bring in the form. Of course, they are also available in the Town Clerk office.

Once License is obtained, an annual renewal is required and is administered by the Office of the Town Clerk, due by end of month of the renewal month, which is typically the same as the original month the New License was obtained.
